Protein coffee done right & The Ultimate Coffee Creamer
Did you get the memo? Food brands are putting protein in e-ve-ry-thing, from beer (no really) to bread, and with the inevitable protein coffee in a can. We don’t believe all these things need to contain protein. In fact, we’d really rather bypass Warburton's E-numbers and stick to freshly baked sourdough bread with a chunky spread of peanut butter for our fix of proteinated gluten.
But you know what? Protein coffee isn’t such a bad idea after all. But we’d rather have it our way (and that means no sucralose, no stabilisers, no emulsifiers, no preservatives, thanks very much).Organic Whey Protein: The Ultimate Protein Coffee Creamer?
See, we’re not big fans of mixing dairy milk in coffee, because it can be very taxing on the digestive system (sorry, latte lovers). But the beauty of organic whey protein, is that it is actually very low in lactose (since the majority of the milk’s sugar, lactose, has been removed to create a high protein powder). Whey protein will turn any drink into a rich and creamy experience, so why not replace your usual creamer with a little protein hit? It may be an extravagance, but every so often, it is a real treat. We are particularly fond of this recipe originally shared by Sarah:- Coconut water
- Lots of Ice!
- Double espresso (Sarah uses Ironbar coffee)
- 1 scoop of Organic Creamy Cacao Whey Protein
